Alumni Advisory Board Member: Jody Skenderian

Jody Skenderian ('95 POLS) currently serves as Executive Director for Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives at Loyola Marymount University leading the university's strategic partnership and initiative efforts by advancing LMU's vision and mission. She works closely with the executive vice president and provost, academic deans, and university leaders to ensure that students and academic programs collaborate with industry leaders, businesses, and governmental and non-governmental organizations through innovative programming, engaged learning opportunities, career pathways, and strategic partnerships.

Jody has an accomplished career as a strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial leader in higher educations, non-profit organizations, and corporation. Jody is passionate about higher education, having taught for 10 years as an adjunct faculty member both on campus and online, while also serving on several non-profit boards.

Jody earned her bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cal Poly SLO, and her Master of Arts in Political Science, with a concentration in mass media and politics from San Francisco State University. Jody currently serves on the board of directors of the Ballona Discovery Park in Playa Vista, CA and recently joined the Cal Poly Political Science Alumni Advisory Board (AAB).

Jody lives in Southern California and enjoys international travel, the outdoors, and cheering her college aged children on in their academic and athletic pursuits.
