About Bobby Olsen
My name is Bobby Olsen; I studied aerospace engineering at U.C. Davis and received my J.D. from Berkeley Law. After clerking, I got my start in academia at Gonzaga Law. I joined the Political Science Department here at Cal Poly in September 2025 and teach constitutional law and the introduction to American government. My scholarship focuses on the history of the Reconstruction Amendments, federalism, the substantive contours of free-personhood and citizenship, and the meaning of political equality.
