About Bryanna Gay

Bryanna Gay earned her B.A. in Communication Studies and a Master's in Public Policy from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. During her higher education journey, she discovered her passion for intentional policy development and efficient implementation. She has worked across local governments, higher education, nonprofits, and at the federal level, building strong skills in community engagement, program management, and policy analysis.
From implementing state grants that brought mental health resources into rural schools, to researching legislation in Congressman Salud Carbajal’s DC office, she centers people in her work. Outside of teaching, Bryanna is a Program Analyst with the USDA’s Santa Barbara/Ventura County office. For her, being part of Cal Poly's Political Science faculty is a dream come true.
