Cal Poly SLO Mock Trial Team at 2022 AMTA Nationals

Cal Poly’s Mock Trial Club A Team (AMTA Team 1321) built upon their perfect 8-0 performance at regionals, their 6-1-1 performance at ORCS, and traveled to the 37th AMTA National Championship Tournament on April 8-10, hosted by Elizabethtown College at the Lancaster, Pennsylvania County Courthouse.

Cal Poly’s A-Team (Team 1321) rostered by Yuval Shemesh, Melissa Toussimehr, Victoria Lopez, Becca Goren, Kyle Barba, Cooper Bohley and Torri Creamer competed against the nation’s best, going 5-7 on ballots and 2-2 in head-to-head team competition, taking wins against University of Chicago and Furman University.

Melissa Toussimehr was the second highest ranking witness in the Country!  Melissa earned honors for her witness presentation for both the Prosecution and Defense.

Congratulations to the Cal Poly Mock Trial Club on their stellar season, A-Team (Team 1321) for their National Championship run, and Melissa Toussimehr on becoming an AMTA 2022 “All-American Witness.”
