About Christopher Nelson

Christopher Nelson, PhD is a policy analyst and educator with over 30 years of experience working at the intersection of systems thinking, performance measurement, and governance.  He has led and participated in numerous complex policy projects at the federal, state, and local level in the US, and in the European Union.  He teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in public policy at Cal Poly and has also taught in the RAND Graduate School’s Ph.D. program and the USC and Carnegie Mellon University MPP programs and has designed and led numerous practitioner workshops in the US and abroad.
