Senior Project Presentation: Homeless Services Resource Workshop

Hey POLS Students!!

Do you want to help collaborate on countywide initiatives in SLO to combat homelessness?

Mia Benzinger and Sessa Renfrew, two fourth-year blended POLS and MPP students will be hosting a workshop titled “Homeless Services Resource Workshop” in collaboration with SLO County Officials, Family Care Network, 5 Cities Homeless Coalition, among other organizations.

The workshop will occur on Tuesday, May 16th at 5:30pm in Building 52 room 0E03.

The purpose of this workshop is to garner community engagement and collaboration to achieve the goals of the SLO Countywide 5 Year Plan to Address Homelessness. SLO County officials will introduce the 5 year plan and its purpose and the featured organizations will be presenting on the services that they can provide to help with the plan. Sessa and Mia would love to have as many people as possible to attend because the more people that know about the plan, the more individuals and organizations can volunteer, assist, and coordinate ideas.

Everyone is welcome to attend! Students from Cal Poly could help volunteer with the plan if they are interested after the workshop or may provide helpful contacts of interest to help SLO City officials move along with the goals of the plan.

Thank you so much

Sessa Renfrew and Mia Benzinger
