Following the Path to Policy Change

The Natrual Hazards Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder recently published an interim Quick Response report by Dr. Leanne Giordono about policy change after the 2020 Oregon wildfires.

The study uses interview data from 36 policy actors to offer evidence about how extreme weather events shapes public policy, contributes to ongoing development of focusing events theory, and highlights the mechanisms by which and conditions under which public policy change occurs.
