Professor Sada Andrews
This course is an advanced study of several areas of U.S. law, including Torts, Contracts, Property, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Civil Procedure, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property, Business Law, and others using cases and controversies in the context of California’s official sport: surfing.
Many of Cal Poly’s graduates go on to advocacy work as attorneys, policymakers, or in business and special interests. This course provides a substantive examination of several areas of law that they will encounter in graduate school or in the workplace. Having a working knowledge of the main concepts, institutions, and vocabulary in all these areas will make them ready day one.
