About

Richard Hanna received his M.A. in Political Studies from the American University of Beirut. His thesis work focused on theories of nationalism and concepts of the nation. His research and areas of interest also include the history and political landscape of the Levant, non-traditional political theory, and the politics of language. While he is trained in political science, his true passion is linguistics. His first publication was released in 2023 and is titled The Fundamentals of Lebanese Grammar, which is a grammar reference guide for learners of the Lebanese variety of Arabic.

In his free time, Richard enjoys CrossFit, acting, learning languages, and attending sporting events and learning about sports politics (especially basketball). He doesn’t believe that any pleasures are guilty, but if he did, then his would be undercooked chocolate chip cookies.
