About Scott Englund

Scott Englund's Curriculum Vitæ

Scott Englund is a lecturer at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.  He is also a Visiting Scholar at the Orfalea Center for Global and International Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Non-Resident Fellow at TRENDS Research and Advisory.  His primary research interests are terrorism, U.S. Counter-terror policy, international humanitarian law, and political communication.  Prior to his academic career, Dr. Englund was a political and counter-terrorism analyst for the Department of Defense and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, deploying to Iraq four times in support of operations there.  He is a graduate of the Intelligence Analyst course at the FBI Academy, Quantico, and the Counter-terrorist Analyst Course at the Joint Military Intelligence Training Center.
